Frequently Asked Questions
Converting from one lossless format to another (e.g., PNG to WebP lossless) preserves every pixel. Converting to a lossy format like JPEG will discard some data, but at high quality settings the difference is usually invisible.
WebP files are typically 25-35% smaller than equivalent JPEG files at the same visual quality. AVIF offers even better compression — up to 50% smaller. Smaller files mean faster page loads and lower bandwidth costs.
JPEG does not support transparency. When converting a transparent PNG to JPEG, the transparent areas are filled with a white background. If you need to keep transparency, use WebP, AVIF, or PNG as the output format.
Each image can be up to 10 MB. There is no resolution limit, though very large images may take a few seconds longer to process.
