Shatter a Photo into Flying Pieces
Your subject stays intact in the center while the rest of the image breaks into blocks and scatters outward. Randomize until the explosion looks right.

All effectsShatter Effect — how it works
Break a photo into flying blocks that scatter away from an intact center.
How the shatter works
The image is cut into rectangular blocks. Blocks near the intact zone stay in place; the farther a block is from it, the more likely it is to break off and the farther it flies. Scatter sets the distance, sparsity how many blocks go missing, falloff how gradual the transition is.
Direction and trails
By default pieces fly outward from the center. Raise direction bias to blow them one way — like wind or disintegration — and add trails for motion streaks behind each fragment. Size mix varies block sizes so the break looks less regular.
Randomize the break
Every variant is a different random pattern with the same settings. Hit Randomize a few times and keep the one that frames your subject best, then download it in full resolution.
