Miniature-world tilt-shift blur with a movable focus band.
Why tilt-shift looks miniature
Our eyes associate a very shallow depth of field with small objects seen up close. Blurring the top and bottom of a wide scene while keeping a thin band sharp tricks the brain into reading it as a model railway or a toy town.
Placing the focus band
Position moves the sharp band up or down, width sets how tall it is and feather how gradually it fades into blur. Angle tilts the band for diagonal streets; the radial shape keeps a circle sharp instead of a strip.
Best photos for the effect
Shots taken from high above — rooftops, bridges, drones — with lots of small people or cars work best. Boosting saturation afterwards in Image Flow strengthens the toy-like feel.
