Digital photos look too clean? Add real-looking film grain and a gentle vignette for that analog, shot-on-35mm feel.

All effectsFilm Grain Effect — how it works
Analog film grain and a soft vignette for a 35mm look.
Why add grain
Film records light on silver crystals, which leave a fine, irregular texture — grain. Adding it back to digital photos softens the plastic look of heavy retouching, hides banding in skies and gradients and makes a set of images feel like one analog series.
Mono vs. color grain
Monochrome grain changes only brightness, like black-and-white film and most modern emulations. Color grain adds tiny hue variations as well, closer to fast consumer color film. Grain size scales with your photo, so a 24-megapixel export keeps the same character as the preview.
Vignette
Old lenses darken toward the corners. A soft vignette draws the eye to the center and completes the analog look; set it to zero if you only want grain.
