Made for flat artwork
The Logo preset assumes a small number of solid colors and crisp edges — exactly how most logos are built. It merges near-identical colors, snaps edges to tight curves and drops speckles, so a 500 px PNG logo comes out as a handful of clean paths you can scale to a billboard.
Edit after tracing
Every color becomes its own group, so you can recolor, delete a background shape or tweak a letterform in the SVG Editor, Figma or Illustrator. Text is traced as outlines — if you need editable type, identify the typeface with the Font Finder and re-set it.
Print, cut and embroider
Vinyl cutters, laser engravers and embroidery software all want vector input. A traced SVG from a decent-resolution logo image is usually good enough for these workflows; check curves at high zoom before sending to production.
Logo to SVG — questions
Aim for at least 500 px on the shorter side. Tiny favicons or thumbnails trace poorly — upscale them first with the AI Image Upscaler.
Gradients are approximated as bands of flat color. For a gradient logo, increase the color count or rebuild the gradient in an editor afterwards.
Upload a crop of the wordmark to the Font Finder — it recognizes Latin and Cyrillic typefaces from images.

How the Image Vectorizer Works
Turn any bitmap image into a scalable SVG vector — perfect for logos, icons, and illustrations that need to look crisp at every size.
Raster to Vector
Automatically trace bitmap images (PNG, JPG, BMP) into clean SVG paths. The algorithm detects edges and curves, producing scalable graphics that stay sharp at any resolution.
Fine-tune Results
Adjust detail level, color count, and smoothing to control the output. Preview changes in real time before exporting. Works best with logos, icons, and illustrations.
Instant Processing
Vectorization runs server-side using optimized tracing algorithms. Most images are converted in under a second, with no software installation required.
Export Clean SVG
Download production-ready SVG files with optimized paths. Copy the SVG code directly for use in HTML, CSS, or design tools like Figma and Illustrator.
Frequently Asked Questions
Images with clear edges and limited colors produce the best results — logos, icons, line art, and simple illustrations. Photographs with complex gradients will be simplified into flat color regions, which can create an artistic effect but will not look photorealistic.
Raster images (PNG, JPG) are made of pixels and become blurry when enlarged. Vector images (SVG) are made of mathematical paths and stay perfectly sharp at any size. Vectors are ideal for logos, icons, and print materials.
Yes. The exported SVG is standard markup that can be opened in any vector editor such as Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Inkscape, or our built-in SVG Editor. You can also edit the code directly in any text editor.
You can upload images up to 10 MB. Very large images are automatically downscaled before tracing to keep processing fast. For best results, use images between 500 and 4000 pixels on the longest side.
